Monday to Sunday, every day is laundry day.
Believe me, if you have so many pets, with so many health issues (especially when there’s a baby dog around, as well) you must run the washing machine every single day. If you miss a day, you’ll regret it for a week until you eventually manage to catch up.
So yeah. I’m washing. Every day. “Furry” clothes, sheets with vomit, rugs with pee and so on an and so forth. (I won’t give you the details you don’t wanna hear). I might live with 8 pets in a tiny apartment but I simply refuse to live in a mess. And gosh, it gets messy sometimes! So I’m vacuuming once a day plus Vilma, our robot vaccum is doing 2 full tours each day. The mop is literally stuck to my palms, and the washing machine is working full time. Also the dryer. They’re heroes. When this is over, I might organize a little party for them. For us. I just hope we will all survive.
Right now in our home there’s one who throws up occasionally, one who has a urinary infection, 3 who have muddy paws at least twice a day, and one who’s still too young to be vaccinated. Baby dogs, you know… They pee and poop inside for quite a while until you’re allowed to walk them. Because they cannot hold it for 3 weeks (or more) until they’re fully vaccinated and can be walked. 😅 Plus, they’re shedding like CRAZY. ALL of them.
I’m not complaining. I chose to help all these animals, and it’s super rewarding. I fight my battles day by day, but in the end, it’s all worth it. However, I would like to help them without doing an unnecessarily big harm to the environment. Keeping pets is not sustainable anyway. Keeping a lot of pets is even less. And there’s not much I can do about that. But at least, I can choose the cleaning products I use to clean up their mess, so we won’t harm others.
I can pick the less harmful window cleaner to clean their nose prints from our windows. I can pick the less harmful floor cleaner to clean up their muddy paw prints. And I can also pick the less harmful laundry detergent of them all.
You might think that it doesn’t make such a big impact anyway. I heard this so many times:
It’s just a small cup of detergent once in a while, diluted with idk how many liters of water, so who cares really?..
It shouldn’t be that bad if you just use the regular stuff, you think? Well I believe that choosing the right stuff does actually make a difference, especially when you have to wash industrial amounts. Daily. 😂 And that’s not happening only if you’re a crazy person with “too many” pets. A foster, who doesn’t care for a baby dog only once every 10, 15, 20 years, like “normal” dog owners do, but like twice a year. So don’t even try to use this argument. I know, for instance, that when you have kids you also have to deal with an awful amount of laundry. Also if your husband works in construction. Or if you’re just a clean freak person. You know? One of those aliens who washes their clothes regularly and correctly… Sorting the laundry based on different colors and materials, not just washing everything together once a week when the machine is already full anyway. 😅 if your not one of them, maybe you heard about them. 🤣
All kidding aside, I think you all wash as much as it actually matters what kind of detergent you’re using. And if not, you should definitely start washing more. LOL. Anyway, Sansin is the one I’ve been using for over 2 and a half years now. Best detergent ever. It’s completely environmentally friendly, its package is from recycled plastic and it looks soooo nice! It comes in 3 different options. They all smell good, and of course I couldn’t decide. You just can’t pick a favorite. Or I can’t pick a favorite. #gemini, what can I say? 🤷🏼♀️ I love them all equally and I use them simultaneously.
Happy Laundry Day to you all. I mean Easter. Oups. Holidays got me washing… 👀 God may forgive!
P.s: This is not sponsored. I wish it was, tho. We spend tons of money lately on cleaning supplies, as you can imagine. But it’s not. 😅 I just love these products so much that I think they deserve a shoutout. Also, nature deserves not to be destroyed, while I deserve to enjoy a clean house and the company of my tiny zoo.
