The 1st of January

There is this belief that your whole year will be jut like the first day of it. Basically what you do, or don’t do, on the 1st of January will describe the entire year.

I never actually believed that. Until now. πŸ˜… No, but seriously, it happened that on the 1st of January 2020, I spent the whole day at home, eating, watching Netflix and only going out for walking the dogs. And as you might already know, 2020 turned out to be nothing more than that: staying at home, watching Netflix, walking the dogs and eating. Eating A LOT. I mean… I gained 5 kg in weight which is a lot for me. Especially because it turned out that I put all of it on my belly, and now I look pregnant all the time, not just after dinner. πŸ˜…

Anyway. If this superstition about the first day of the year has anything to do with the year itself… I don’t see myself loosing that baby-gluten-belly anytime soon. Because it happened that on the 1st of January 2021 I ate a lot, again. πŸ‘€ Mostly sweets and junk food so… I’m dead meat.

Let’s see what 2021 will bring me, based on what I found scrolling through my camera roll from the 1st day of the new year.

1. Food.

2. Love. Pure love.

3. Fire.

4. Walks.

5. Fun.

6. Sleep.

7. French fries.

I was craving for McDonalds that night so much, that we went McDonalds-hunting. It took us like 2 hours until we could finally eat the biggest portion of french fries ever. We ordered so much we couldn’t even finish it. Can you believe it? πŸ˜… me? Not finishing my french fries? πŸ‘€ Anyway… that dream came true, so. Maybe there will be some more dreams coming true in 2021. Especially food related ones, which leads me to my next expectation, which is:

8. Fat. More fat. πŸ˜…

2021 might be the year I will explode or give birth to a baby hamburger.🀰🏼
