So I’ve found my favorite flower yesterday morning while Erno was throwing out the trash from the van. 🤭 He stopped, as usual, after camping, near the first dumpster on the road, and I saw these flowers on the other side of it. I couldn’t believe how gorgeous they are. Tall (lot taller then me), pink, pretty exotic looking… Just WOW!

Impatiens glandulifera, commonly called policemen’s helmet, is an annual plant, native to the Himalayas. It grows 1-2 m high. The plant has GLANDS. How cool is that? 🙈 You can find its glands below the leave stems, and they produce a sticky, edible nectar which smells sweet. 😅 The beautiful pink flowers can be turned into a jam or parfait. Good to know, next time I might pick some. 🌸
