I always wanted a herbarium, but I felt it’s wrong to pick off the flowers. I know it’s quite strange because I do like fresh flowers in our home, but to be honest I also feel sorry for them. 🤦🏼♀️ Anyways, creating a digital herbarium was a great solution for me.
At least I don’t buy or pick these flowers specially to be killed, dried, and conserved. Taking pictures, identifying them and organizing them in albums doesn’t just feel better, but it also makes it possible for me to share my herbarium with you.

Stachys byzantina or Lamb’s ear are perennial herbs. It flowers in late spring and early summer. The flowers are small and light purple. The plants tend to be evergreen. The leaves are covered in white “fur”. They are so soft you can’t keep you fingers off them. 🤭 Definitely one of my favorite plants from my digital herbarium.
